Gilles Vranckx was born with a pencil in hand.
He studied graphic design, animation and comic art.
His influences vary from Ashley wood, Kent Williams, Mike Allred, to Rene Gruau, Edward Hopper and old 50'-60' ads.
He has a wide diversity in styles due to his animation background.
Watching films is his favorite past time and his greatest inspiration.
He currently works on a 6 issue mini-series with writer Scott Closter called The "Z-list" and his own personal grafic novel "Girl:now that you've gone" wich he'll make it into a shortfilm after.
Also works in the ad business between personal work. He exibited several times in Brussels and Antwerp. Gilles also is a filmprogrammer for the offscreen filmfestival and does some DJ-ing in the weekends.
The first illustration under my pseudo name can-D. The idea is to make more comic-like illustrations with a little edge to it. There'll be a can-D website later on.
